Welcome to Year 2!

I have always loved getting ‘lost in a book’!  A particular favourite of ours when my daughters were in Y1 and 2 was, ‘What the Ladybird Heard’…

We would spend hours discussing other things that the ladybird could have heard, looking for ladybirds, finding out facts about ladybirds, painting ladybirds on rocks we found on our walks and telling the story together – often ‘off-by-heart’. The book became very old, very quickly – the sign of a well-loved story eh? Which book do you love?
