Academy Conversion

The governing body of Lake View Primary School, after formal consultation with stakeholders, made an application to convert the school to an academy and join the East Midlands Education Trust (EMET). This was accepted an an academy order was granted for the school by the Secretary of State for Education in 2023. The current date set for conversion is April 2025. 

This is an extremely exciting time for the school, bringing us even closer together with our local partner schools, Blidworth Oaks and Heathlands Primary Schools, and our feeder secondary school, The Joseph Whitaker School, who are all already academies within the East Midlands Education Trust.
