We expect all children on roll to attend every day, when the school is in session, as long as they are fit and healthy enough to do so. We do all we can to encourage the children to attend, and to put in place appropriate procedures. We believe that the most important factor in promoting good attendance is development of positive attitudes towards school. To this end, we strive to make our school a happy and rewarding experience for all children. We will reward those children whose attendance is very good. We will also make the best provision we can for those children who, for whatever reason, are prevented from coming to school.

Absence from School 

If your child is unable to attend school, please inform the school office as soon as possible by telephone (01623 401404), email (office@lakeview.notts.sch.uk) or through your messaging the school office team on Class Dojo.

Our School Day 

Foundation 2 (Reception) to Year 6

Our school operates Monday to Friday, for 32.5 hours per week, during term time.

8.45am - School gates and classrooms are opened to all pupils 

8.50 am - Our school day begins 

10.15 - 10.30 am - Assemblies. Our celebration assembly takes place at 9am every Friday (parents/carers welcome by invitation). 

10.30 - Morning Break 

At Lake View we use a staggered lunch approach:                         

11.30am - 12.15pm  - EYFS Lunch Break

12.15pm-1pm - KS1 Lunch Break 

12.30pm - 1.15pm - KS2 Lunch Break 

2.00-2.15 pm - Afternoon Break  (KS1)

3.20 pm - End of School, dismissal.

Foundation 1 (Nursery)

Sessions are:     

Morning Session - 8.40am  -  11.40am 

Afternoon Session 12.25pm - 3.25pm
