Head Teacher’s Welcome

I hope you enjoy visiting our site and better still come and visit us at school. At Lake View you will see our ethos in action:

CARING – staff and children caring about their school and wanting to make a difference. A happy school where children learn in a caring and beautiful environment.

CONFIDENT – it is our goal to develop the confidence of the children in our care. We want them to leave Lake View with heads held high, a sense of purpose and above all else the confidence to believe and achieve their potential .

CREATIVE – we aim to develop creative approaches to learning where children are engaged, excited and enthused about what they are doing in school. We hope that this will give them the building blocks from which they continue on a lifelong path of learning. We want the children to share our love of learning.

Lake View is part of the Redhill Teaching School Alliance. This alliance is a partnership of primary and secondary schools, where the key mission statement is to raise achievement for all children in the alliance.

Collectively we hope to create a professional continuum supporting those entering the profession through Initial Teacher Training, offering high quality Continuing Professional Development and developing leaders of the future.  Currently myself and Miss Hodgson are being employed by the alliance to deliver some of these sessions.

We believe that through the professional continuum we can respond to the ever changing landscape and shape our futures together.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. There are 210 children that attend Lake View Primary and Nursery School.  This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school with any queries you may have.
