The following children were awarded 'Star of the Week':

 

F1:  Yasmin, for brilliant writing.

 

F2:  Callum, for meeting his personal targets.

 

Y1:  Kayden, for really stepping up his work.

 

Y2:  Emily, for amazing progress especially in Maths.

Nursery (F1):  Maria, for using initial sounds.

 

Reception (F2):  Lucas, for brilliant concentration whole class and guided writing.

 

Year 1:  Harry, for fantastic writing.

 

Year 2:  Evie, for always having beautiful handwriting, completing lots of work and making progress.

 

Year 3:  Owen, for work on Romulus and Remus.

 

Year 4/5V:  Reece, for working really hard to write more.

 

Year 4/5L:  Katelin, for much improved effort in writing.

 

Year 6:  Ashlie, for fantastic writing.

 

We also announced our new Head Girl and Head Boy; and we are pleased to inform you that our Head Girl is Jade from Year 6 and our Head Boy is Jacob from Year 6.  These children are exceptional role models and we are sure that they have the attributes to inspire and motivate other children in our school.  Well done to you both.

Year 4/5V: Finlay for amazing improvements in Writing.

Y2:  Gerran, for outstanding written work and progress in English.

 

Y3:  Molly, for her maths work on multiplication - rising to the challenge with a positive attitude.

 

Year 4 and 5 were away on an Educational Visit to the Yorkshire Mining Museum.

Nursery (F1):  Jasmine, for writing the initial sound in labels for 'we're going on a bear hunt'.

 

Reception (F2):   Emelia, Super writing of shopping lists.  Beautifully formed letters.  Super blending and segmenting.

 

Y1:  Naomi, for super writing.

 

Y2:  Layla H, for huge improvements with her writing.  It is lovely to see Layla really challenging herself.

 

Y3: Jessica, for her beautiful handwriting in all areas.

 

Y4/5B:  Adam, for a fantastic newspaper report.

 

Y4/5G:  Kevin for a detailed newspaper report that included the relevant factor and the correct features of a newspaper report.

 

Y6:  Lydia, for making better than expected progress in her aim to be a fabulous author.

The following children were awarded 'Star of the Week':

 

Reception:  Tomia, for coming back after the holidays with such a positive attitude.  Great work in phonics and maths.

 

Y1: Riley, his attitude is amazing!  He is now a true Year 1 with a growth mind-set and is really challenging himself!  Super Star.

 

Y2:  Callum, for brilliant effort in reading leading to outstanding progress.

 

Y4/5V:  Adem, for a positive start to the new year.

 

Y6:  Callum and Jacob, for a super start to Lake View.

 

Well done children.  The staff at Lake View are looking forward to who our super stars are going to be in 2017.
