Our Remembrance Celebration

CARING  CREATIVE CONFIDENT

Monday 13th November saw Lake View Primary School mark Remembrance Day.  The children were invited to come into school dressed in either their out of school club uniforms or red clothing.  Our pupils did look very smart indeed.

A memorial assembly was held during the morning by Rev Amanda Lees and included readings from representatives from the British Legion, the scouting community, pupils and staff.

In addition, we were delighted to host Notts TV who recorded our assembly and spoke to both children and staff afterwards.  You can watch the final piece here https://nottstv.com/programme/lakeview-primary-pays-respect-remembrance-assembly/

Finally we are delighted to announce that we raised £125.00 for the British Legion through the sales of Poppies and other merchandise during the weeks leading up to our assembly.

Thank you to all that were involved in making the day a success and memorable to for the children.
